7. Friends, we are over the waterfall.

How in hell do you prepare for societal meltdown? The people in power are nuts, pathological, blatantly corrupt, beyond criminal, beyond accountability. I thought our system was more robust than it apparently is. I don't think the election will save us, regardless of the outcome. I know we have to try, but. I really hate being like this. I know it's a big world out there, and my view is miniscule, probably very distorted, but no crazier than the conspiracy crap swirling around. Geologic time will eventually prevail, I guess. The grand experiment needs redone.
