"Recreational marijuana sales in Maine start on Friday.

The state issued its first licenses for the industry last month.

The Office of Marijuana Policy says the licenses are for cultivation, manufacturing, retail sales and testing.

Maine voters approved legal adult use marijuana sales back in 2016."

I heard that there are supply problems right now though because the growing, testing, and sales licenses all came out at once just a few weeks ago. Growing and testing needs to happen before there is anything to sell. Anyhow, this is progress that we've gotten to this point and those supply chain issues will eventually be corrected.
