It's a huge state expense, one that many states would not want to do for free. Other wise, every candidate of every race in every state could demand free recounts, and hold the results up for months.
Big problem for trump, of course, since the campaign is broke and since his reputation precedes him.
But he already ruined that tactic by talking incessantly that he would do it AND tie the results up in every court possible,
He's demanding recounts now before all the votes are even in. I doubt many states will take him seriously. He just wants the cameras to stay on him.
Soon, tho, he will know the political loneliness of Palin, and the criminal notoriety of John Gotti.

Agreed. And I think there should be random recounts, even in cases when it's not close.

Thanks. I also believe any recount can NOT start until the results are certified (in WI). correct
