No incoming president wants to get bogged down in this stuff with the opposing party screaming "witch hunt!" and stonewalling everything.

An independent prosecutor is really the only way to go with this sort of thing, keep Biden's hands relatively clean so he can go about repairing a lot of damage.

I don't think he wants the House completely bogged down, either. What can't happen is just letting this drop. If we do that, we'll have no country left the next time that gang of crooks gets in.
