Andrew Giuliani, the son of the president's personal attorney and a staffer at the White House, tested positive for coronavirus, he tweeted Friday.
"I am experiencing mild symptoms, and am following all appropriate protocols, including being in quarantine and conducting contact tracing," Giuliani tweeted.
Giuliani, a special assistant to the president, is the latest White House staffer to test positive for the highly contagious virus in recent weeks. He has worked as a liaison to sports leagues and had a prominent role promoting Trump's support of bringing back college football this fall.
The White House has faced multiple outbreaks during the pandemic, which President Trump has repeatedly downplayed. Those who have tested positive over the last six weeks include the president, the first lady, the press secretary, the chiefs of staff to both the president and the vice president and senior advisers Stephen Miller and Hope Hicks.
