Michigan, national GOP seek to delay certification of election results

27. Yes I know they have no proof. They are appealing to the True Believers in Trump's Death Cult GOP.

The GOP voters only need to hear that it is so from those who feed them the lies as Gospel. They have no capacity to accept facts that don't agree with their Dogma. That is how a cult works.
The point of the exercise is not to establish Trump as the actual winner by the process. It is to establish in the minds of the GOP voters that they were robbed and that the new president and government are lies designed to cheat them of whatever they imagine to be their right and due. They've been programmed for decades to see this as the only outcome if Democrats win. They don't see how their local or state resources are provided by that government. They completely misunderstand how Social Security, National Parks, or other federal programs work and have no idea how such institutions came to exist.

On that foundation the GOP leadership can expect to drive their voters to support any cause or policy, or resist the same. It will be an un-civil war for the next 2 and 4 year election cycle and probably beyond. That is why the GOP at any level has refused to accept the election results. That is why this Kabuki Theater continues.

When the entire GOP senate refused to accept testimony or evidence during the Impeachment it said it all. The House GOP did the same and I don't want to hear they are afraid of their voters. It isn't true to the degree we have been told. What they all see is a path to dominate government. The incredible greed behind this is stunning when you see it face to face, as I see it repeated among our county commissioners every week. The public are inconvenient to their version of progress and so are treated as small children who shouldn't question adults.
