They're just now sampling the genome in people who test positive who've been to the UK. This goes beyond normal testing for a positive and generally lags behind. It out there and if it is more infectious it will continue to replicate.

I'm feeling deeply cautious of the 70% more infectious claim, but in time we will know more.
