(7,510 posts)Across 2nd Avenue from the Melting Pot is a tall building with a mostly windowless brick facade. If you use streetview to "walk" 2nd avenue there is one door marked AT%T, but it is mostly free of signs. Most telecom equipment buildings and data centers are unmarked that way.
So on the west side of the block of 2nd Avenue starting at Commerce Street there is first a parking ramp, then most of the block is the brick AT&T building, and then at the end nearest Church Street is another anonymous utilitarian looking building, which I think is an older telephone equipment building. It is a lot shorter than the rather tall newer equipment building that takes up most of the block.
The Batman Building is just an office space and probably contains nothing important to the functioning of the network. In fact, it is no longer owned by AT&T and AT&T just occupies leased space in it.
