8. This is NOT a game of chicken. These guys mean to do what they say even if badly.

Jail is not what they fear. They are afraid of being irrelevant. They fear scorn and ridicule more than weapons. They also believe they are on some kind of holy quest to save Trump and what he stands for in their eyes. I've met these guys where they live and it's scary to see them switch from being neighbors who appear human into very matter of fact jihadists. Their demeanor doesn't change just the words and the emotional undercurrents. It's like watching someone you think you know fairly well casually light a fuse like it was a cigarette and prepare to throw the bomb they just lit.
