36. It is not a question of threats

It is a question of authority and unquestioned compliance. See, we are supposed to bow to them and do what they say, regardless of how illegal or immoral (or just freaking insane) their actions may be. We are supposed to never question our capitalistic overlords or their lackeys. And, if we don't do this, then we obviously are not worthy of their attention, and therefore must be removed. This 'winner at all costs' mentality is why this happens. But, our greed and ego created this mindset, so changing it will be difficult. No one wants to be seen as anti-greed, because that is all but synonymous with being anti-American.
