Just like how we changed the filibuster to 55 votes for judges and the Republicans in turn changed it to simple majority. Once anyone changes the filibuster for anything then it is done moving forward.
I'm not saying we shouldn't do it but if we do, the filibuster won't be there for us when we lose control.
