Cannot see this. America is a divided nation. People often complain about gridlock, no cooperation, no reaching across the aisle to find the middle ground.

But...There is no middle ground. Think it about it. One side wants free abortion on demand, the other wants to limit or outlaw abortion. One side wants gays to receive full privileges, the othe side wants to put a constitutional ban on gay marriage. Many on this side (certainly not all) think access to guns should be extremely restricted, while many on the other side wish to remove all regulation. One side wants the rich to pay more, the other side doesn't. One side wants woman and minorities to get extra help when and where they need it to make up for past injustices, the other doesn't want anybody to get any extra privilege that they cannot buy.

I could go on and on and on. Abortion, like it I said, one side wants unlimited free access, the other side wants zero access. And both sides really sincerely, completely believe they are right. Where is the middle ground there? It doesn't exist.
