They know many kids won't be vaccinated and won't wear masks. Like businesses, schools won't know who is vaccinated or not.

It sounds like they are going for herd immunity full speed ahead and damn the torpedos on the assumption that kids won't get too sick. This may not end well for kids with suppressed immune systems. And it puts teachers and other adults at risk all over again.
