(15,737 posts)35. The Republican Senators were baiting the Generals throughout the hearing
They wanted them to declare that Biden "lied" about the advice he received regarding withdrawing from Afghanistan. They were just trying to score political points at the expense of military order and discipline.
Of special note were Tillis of North Carolina (who railed about Biden not being obliged to abide by the agreements made by Trump with the Taliban) and that asshole Alaskan Senator who was so busy fulminating about the Afghan withdrawal that he ran out of time to ask "the one question" he demanded they respond to.
