non-profit which provides after school tutoring/activities for low income families. We have 3 sites, provide services for 150 families and employ 12 people way below what they are worth. None of our employees have had any rise at all in 3 years. Our Executive Director has voluntarily cut his own salary 4 times so we could keep staff employed (he makes $50K/yr). The health insurance we provide is now a joke. Our budget has gone from $500,000 to less than $350,000 for the entire program. We cannot cut any more. We are bare bones now. This round of 'trigger' cuts will close our doors after 40 years of serving 3 communities.
