That, and I learned to never say anything with any degree of certainty - especially to my wife. Well, she's now my ex-wife, but saying that you are sure of anything will always come back to bite you in the ass when dealing with her. I always would start off saying almost everything I said to her with "I don't know? maybe...." or "I think that...." or when asked about my opinion on something to just not give an opinion because it would always be wrong.

Not following that protocol would end up in her screaming and throwing stuff at me and her telling our kids how much she hated me and that she wanted a divorce. I finally took her up on that divorce and I couldn't be happier.
