21. The UE rate is not based on unemployment insurance

Nov 2012

Total Employment went up 410,000 (the offical employment number is only non-farm payroll jobs and went up 170k but that is not used to calculate the UE rate...Total Employment is). Unemployed went up 170,000 that raised the rate. Both going up like that means more people started looking for work.
