... That he and his wife were the target of an inordinate amount of humor that night. It's the Oscars, them roasting each other a little is tradition, but it's in good spirit. If it began to get insulting, his temper may well have been on the fence when the insulting joke about Jada was told. I really don't know.

Either way, he and Jada Pinkett-Smith will both survive more than well enough. Their careers will take care of them to the end of their days, and their descendants. This, honestly, doesn't matter. It doesn't even seem to matter to Chris Rock, the cops wanted to arrest Smith but he told them to let it pass.

I don't see a lot having happened to him even if he were arrested. He walked up and slapped someone who, very arguably, was provoking him. What, a night in jail and money that wouldn't even put a dent in his coffers? I'm over it all, personally, just as I was over the Oscars ages ago. It's a gossip-filled drama fest.
