11. Yeah, I hate to be rigid on stuff like this, but that's where I am. I believe republi-CONS are evil.

The very proof of it is playing out today with all the voting-booth shenanigans going on. I'm sure I don't pay as close attention as many here do, but I know what I've seen, read, heard, and studied. No one can convince me that Democrats of any sort are behind this voter suppression and the dirty tricks - especially from that Ohio secretary of state! Who is, for the record, a republi-CON.

I'm sorry, but for all I've seen in my 59 years, this is the conclusion I keep tripping over - regardless where I turn, step, or wander. republi-CONS are evil. Their agenda is evil. What they want to do is evil. What they envision for this country is cock-eyed, unrealistic, selfish, greedy, hideously unfair, and, boiled down, just plain evil. If a candidate has an "r" by his or her name, he or she is automatically suspect, in my eyes. Civilians who vote "r" - are usually led by some utopian fantasy of everybody booting up by themselves and turning themselves into billionaires within four or five months. They're either complacent, ill-informed, or naive. BUT WHEN YOU DECIDE TO RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE, AND ATTEMPT TO HAVE A HAND IN PUBLIC POLICY, then you're not a non-combatant anymore. And your motives and leanings and priorities and the people you hang with and with whom you surround yourself - ALL become deserving of public scrutiny. You have to own those motives, leanings, priorities, and cronies. And the public deserves to know the who, what, where, when, how, and ESPECIALLY why. 'Cause the PUBLIC will be signing your paycheck if you win.

And truly, I look at the issues.
Who wants spending - where, why, and on what?
Who wants spending cuts - where, why, and on what?
Who wants taxes cut - where, why, and on what/whom?
Who wants taxes raised - where, why, and on what/whom?
Who believes in expanding rights and who thinks those rights should be curtailed, or even ended altogether?
Whose behavior indicates they're a true Christian, if that's what they loudly claim they are?
Who takes science seriously and who rejects evolution and the reality of climate change, and yes, HUMAN-CAUSED climate change?
Who's for "we're all in this together" versus "I Got Mine, F-U?" (This one applies nationally AND internationally.)
Whose first instinct is to game the system, and who's more focused on leveling the playing field? Who prefers "how can I get around...?" to "how can I get along?"
Who's the adult in the room and who's the spoiled, selfish, greedy, tantrum-throwing brat-child?
and then
Who's kind and who's not?
Who's mean or mean-spirited and who's not?
Who's a liar and who's not?
Who apologizes and who doesn't?
and then
Who's their daddy? Where are they getting their money? And with whom are they surrounding themselves?

Well, that's my checklist and on EVERY issue I care about, the Dems come out on the side I'm on, myself. The republi-CONS are invariably on the other side. I can't really think of one item on the above list where I'm on the GOP side. I believe "much-blessed, much-obligated." They don't. They believe "much-blessed. So?" It's not the way I was brought up. It gets into the whole God and Jesus thing for me as well. The GOP just seems to be anathema to everything I believe in and hold dear, item after item on the list. They haven't passed one! Failed 'em ALL! And that kind of individual, at the end of my test, is in NO way fit to hold public office, and CERTAINLY doesn't deserve to be President, much less even be so presumptive and arrogant as to run for it!

And so far, chris christie has yet to pass the test. I see what political trough he heads for when it's feeding time. And he knows he's got to get through his own reelection soon enough, in a blue state, so he knows he better behave around Barack Obama now that the hurricane's come through. But he's a politician. And they are Machiavelli in the flesh.

And of those folks I know - if I know they're "r," then I'm afraid it DOES color my opinion of them. And not in a good way. I don't see ANY reason on earth to vote republi-CON. It just makes no sense to me, on any front.

I don't trust christie as far as I could throw my house. I don't even trust him as far as I might be able to throw him! Same with all republi-CONS. I regard them ALL with suspicion until they prove there's no longer a reason to do so. Their actions are suspect because their motives are suspect. And their motives are suspect because their agenda is suspect.
