83. What's that got to do with the idea of

obliterating a village of Russian civilians?

Besides being uncalled for at this point (see my #80), it would escalate things to dangerous levels for the rest of Europe and the world, not to mention Ukraine.

I would advocate instead for providing Ukraine and Poland with the planes that they need for air cover. Russia has previously said that doing that would be crossing a line that they would not tolerate. We have said that crossing borders into a NATO nation is something that we will not tolerate. Russia has crossed that line. So now we have reason and justification to provide those planes. Yes, that runs a risk of even further escalation, but aimed at military targets.

When we hold up proof to the world of what Russia has done in Poland, and accuse Putin of being the first person to bomb Poland since Hitler, we will have not only NATO with us, but support from around the world for arming Poland, Ukraine, and other neighboring nations with planes for air cover.
