(45,251 posts)37. I have no comment on JJ, Jr. However, your comment is puzzling.
Whenever a Republican congressman or woman gets caught doing something really immoral, I can't believe it when the constituents send the loser back to Washington.
But when it's us Democrats doing it, I kind of figure that it's protecting the seat from the Republicans.
I don't know anyone else's motives. I consider myself fortunate when I know my own motives for certain.
That said, what do you reckon is the motive when Republicans do it?
And why would you assume that Republicans have different motives in voting for Republican candidates than Democrats have when they vote for Republican candidates.
I am not challenging your conclusions in any way. I am just trying to understand what you are saying.
