Today on radio there was a really fascinating story about Santos and the psychology of serial liars. One interviewee is a journalist that did reporting on Santos when he was first running for office in 2020. He has some background stories that I hadn't heard so far. And a professor of psychology who talks about the mind of people that lie like GS does.

One of the weird stunts that is described is when Santos would get some contractor to drive around Long Island for like 4 hours. Santos would point to several really expensive mansions/estates and tell the contractor that he--GS--wanted the man to do work on these places, as if he owned them. Of course he did not own any of them and it just wasted the time of the contractor who did not get any work out of this scam. Since it didn't benefit Santos in any way, the reporter felt that he did it just to get some thrill out of kind of cheating the workman. (That story is at the very end of the report. There is a short transcript of the recording but it leaves out a lot of good info.)
