In reply to the discussion: First infant in Kentucky surrendered anonymously at fire station Safe Haven 'baby box' [View all]efhmc
(16,609 posts)39. Found out when I first went to college that the year before in my dorm that a woman had given birth
to a baby in the communal bathroom. From what was said at the time, she had no idea she was pregnant. I always wonder what happened to her and to that baby. With the evil laws in my state, I wonder what will happened to the forced birth mothers and to the babies they did not want and could not care for.

OP
I wonder how long it will be before they start DNA sampling the infants and arresting the mothers.

So what happens to the baby? It is able to be adopted without legal repercussion in the future?

First of all, I don't consider that a mansion. I don't have problems with the project

It's an old concept. Though it wouldn't surprise me if "Safe Haven" started in Indiana.

Or, they could respect the right to body autonomy and let them abort months before it comes to this?

Oh wow! We now live in a society where giving up your child is a normalized and positive thing!

Given the alternatives that existed in the past, Safe Haven baby boxes are quite humane.

The right wing really does not care about women OR babies. They care about power and control.
