The "Fren" terminology comes from /r/Frenworld, a banned group on Reddit that featured the Apu Apustaja frog using "Nazi babytalk", e.g. speaking alt-right lingo while sounding like a small child or a developmentally disabled adult. Sometimes the frogs wore SS uniforms or other Nazi identification. No, I'm not kidding.
