May 2023

The trial was tentatively scheduled for the end of November. Now it's been moved to the end of May next year.

And it takes so long because this isn't the telly. The government had 4TB of evidence against Bannon. The defense lawyer needed time to go through it all. He was given until February to do that, and then the court needed to meet to set the actual trial date, when the judge had an opening on his schedule to make that call. Courts are dealing with more cases than this one, you know, so it took a while. Is everyone else with a case supposed to step aside in getting their justice to make way for this case?

Of course not. You know why? Because neither the world nor the judicial system revolves around what you want.

Deal with it.

So much for swift justice. moreland01 May 2023 #1

Any lawyers out there to comment on why it should be taking so long? One year to the start date?! TheRickles May 2023 #2
