5. I can't understand the desire for a big screen in the middle of the dash.

Part of the joy of driving is the engagement with your car and the road, not to mention the focus it demands.

I absolutely understand how this can help disabled people, and I don't think a backup system that will stop a car in an emergency or some other electronic features are bad things (the backup camera and the way a car beeps if you get too close to a car in the next lane).

But people seem perfectly happy to abrogate the fun and the responsibility that come with being a good driver. In fact, the bulk of car commercials I see now basically say "Can't drive? So what?"
