Supposing those would fall under "or other means" - We attended one of several in which campus visit tour still had a human guide, like a museum docent, and one wore name tags so the guide could "personally" and politely call one by name to answer questions and sell their school.
I recall DH once had a job interview. On shaking hands, DH related afterward, the interviewer blurted out: "You're not Asian"??? SMH...
