Starting with his favorite technique: projection. "I didn't rig the election; they are the riggers!"

Then a little giggle as he slowly realizes what 'riggers' rhymes with. He continues to say it, but with a little smirk that he thinks looks sly, so the racist followers 'get it.' And being incredibly slow-witted people, one by one they stretch to the limits of their intellect to 'get the joke.'
