6. WaPo poll from September - McAuliffe far behind Warner, but so are the most likely GOP

If the percentage of voters who said they'd definitely vote for McAulifee and those who "would consider" him are combined, he was 4% behind Cuccinelli and 8% behind Bolling.

But he has lots of room for improvement, since 32% of voters had "no opinion" of McAuliffe then (compared to 15% and 22% for Cuccinelli and Bolling).

28% said they definitely would NOT vote for McAuliffe, but there he has an advantage over the Republicans (a slight, 2%, advantage over Bolling, and a 13% advantage over Cuccinelli).
