42. In THIS age I'd go with silver if I was holding any "precious metals"

Silver is 30-40 bucks an oz. Easy to use that measuremt. Of course you'd find someone willing to take gold. The problem will be how to make sure you're not giving TOO much if its 4,000 an OZ!
But as a storage of capital, SHTF notwithstanding, nothing beats real estate.
