In reply to the discussion: White House To Boehner: Obamacare Not Part Of Fiscal Cliff Deal [View all]DallasNE
(8,018 posts)10. Much Of The ACA Has Not Kicked In Yet
So it makes no sense to have that as part of the "fiscal cliff" deal, especially since CBO has scored it as a deficit reducer. As it kicks in we need to monitor it closely and compare results with projections and adjust as needed but all of that is at least 3 years down the road. So far it has been a huge plus for me because I was able to keep my daughter on my health insurance plan and with her pre-existing conditions no insurance would have been available, except possibly Medicaid which would cost the taxpayers several thousands of dollars a year. People need to think before they go off the deep end. Any parent that has a child approaching adulthood with a pre-existing condition loves ACA for this feature alone. It is a huge deal!!!!

Boehner himself is on the chopping block. That's why he's floating this bullshit.
