(354 posts)78. Let's look at the numbers. I am definitely not worried about Newt's SC win
US Census puts South Carolina at 4,625,364 people, with 3,544,890 at or above voting age. With 99% of the precincts reporting, only 590,450 people voted for any of the GOP candidates. And of those, only 243,153 voted for Gingrich, or in other words, only 6.86% of the total voting population (rounded up for good measure). I am definitely not worried about ole Newt.
