I think my neighbors flying their Trump flags categorize me as a radical left, etc etc etc. I despise Jill Sein, but not my point.

I guess I don't really know what "closing" the border in the latest discussions...so it all depends.

The period I am speaking of Lukeville was closed for a month. No passage. None. The closure required an additional 3 hours of driving (in Mexico) to the next port. People in Arizona were upset...including our sane representatives and Governor.

What I hear most from others was they have shut the border thus cutting off all legal traffic and commerce to "cater" to the illegals. That plays right into they only want the illegals to vote..ad nauseam. The illegals are welcomed with services...those upholding the law are the ones being punished.

Of course, it was used a club because the Rs are going to spin anything to their favor. But in a sense it is true. There are people (American citizens and other legal immigrant) that live in border towns for instance, Ajo. They work in the US and return to Mexico each night to care for elderly parents, for instance.

It's just a bad situation. If what is on the table resembles the above it will not help anyone.
