It was one of my Mum's early rental properties. When rentals were on a sharp downturn after two major factories shut down for good within a week of each other, she asked me to occupy it after the lessees scarpered on her, to prevent vandalism and theft until the economy recovered a bit. Why not? Free rent and living where she wasn't was always welcome.

The park was quiet and well-maintained, and even had a good swimming pool and a cute kiddie park. The residents were strictly working class, but no more ill-behaved than the upper-middle-class neighbourhood where Mum lived.

The unit I occupied was nestled amidst a beautiful copse of trees. In fact, the park had so many trees sheltering the homes that when a tornado went through that part of town a few years after I moved away, it *BYPASSED THE TRAILER PARK* and hit some new suburban McMansions instead. All those old trees had kept the trailer park too cool to attract the tornado while that new saplings-only subdivision all but gave it a 'WELCOME' mat, LOL.
