... was the first successful repeating rifle to take a metal cartridge if I recall correctly, and the precursor to the legendary Winchester. I've had a couple of .30-30s, a Marlin and a Winchester. Had a Winchester .25-20 with a tang-mounted peep sight. It had the falling-block action, which gave you a nice crisp trigger, not like later model Winchesters with that sloppy trigger even at full cock.
I've never fired a Henry; maybe someday. I know the originals had no forestock because of the loading tube's configuration. I'm getting all wonky here, so I'l shut up. Have a nice day!
