51. GOP hypocrisy aside, that is a massive disaster in the making

Without barge traffic, the upper Midwest's economy will be hurt badly. Without significant rain and snow over the next few months, our ability to grow staple crops like wheat, corn and soy will be devastated.

Climate change is driving this drought, and we can look forward to this kind of hard decision much more often going forward into the next decade and beyond. Welcome to the new world we have created.
