In reply to the discussion: SIR Paul McCartney will front a Nirvana reunion tonight — replacing late singer Kurt Cobain. [View all]blueclown
(1,869 posts)I offered my opinion, which was substantially different from yours. I admittedly do not know the front-to-back page histories of either of these groups, nor do I care to learn about them. However, you are the one who has elevated the hostilities in this thread through your constant tough-guy internet talk that is loaded with expletives. I have lived through Sandy. I live in Ocean County, NJ, which received the brunt of Sandy's damage. For a musical performer to use this event as a publicity stunt annoys me personally. The fact that I do not know the minute details of Nirvana's career is irrelevant here. This is not a time for gimmicks, publicity stunts or attention-seeking. Get on stage, perform, get off stage. This is not the time for a reunion. Or a makeshift reunion. Or whatever the heck you want to call it. If more than a single second is spent on "McCartney partnering with Nirvana" in place of the plight of Sandy victims, it's an abject tragedy.
