I have seen people advocate giving Ukraine nuclear weapons, dismissing Russian nuclear weapons as no threat and the popular "the fallout will go on Russia", neglecting the weapons that caused the fall out likely killed tens of thousands of people.

There is a growing attitude, at least here, that nukes are "just another weapon". The incoming administration has shown they have more than a little of the same view...
