FLINT, MI -- On the same day thousands of union members protested right-to-work legislation in Lansing, a plaque in memory of one of the union movement's most famous victories was found defaced.
Green paint now covers the gold letters on both sides of a historic site marker for the Flint Sit-Down Strike.
The marker describes events that took place in 1936-37 and that led to recognition of the UAW by General Motors.
