93. Not EVERYTHING that one disagrees with is a lie or a smear. Some? yes, but not ALL & the

difference between what is, in fact, a lie/smear, and what is, in fact, a essential point/aspect/factor in whatever it is that one values ought to be significant to the valuer, right?, because, how can one authentically value something that you're either dishonest or ignorant about? Isn't dishonesty or ignorance oppression?

When we value something, that implies somekind of relationship to it doesn't it? Why would we falsely limit the definition of that relationship, unless one is threatened by the truth about something? And, being fear based, threats are a form of slavery, oppression, so how can one actually value for real what one is a slave to? Doesn't admitting the truth about something, free one to completely commit to it?

One of my points here has to do with the fact that, to me, the way that we are going about this, just doesn't work, for either side of the gun-ownership question.

Because gun-owners are denying certain truths about gun-ownership, their guns are not resulting in their putative motive for owning them in the first place, i.e. safety & protection. If you do NOTHING but defend un-controlled gun ownership, it is MORE likely that when the necessity of using that gun presents itself, your safety is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay after the fact and, kill the miscreant or not, not much will change in the over-all valence of your safety quotient, for (in denying ALL factors but un-controlled gun-ownership) you will indeed be put at risk again and again in other ways that are more or less directly dangerous to you and one - billions of others, by the same things (writ large) that put you in that dangerous situation in which you found it necessary to use your gun in the first place.

So, the difference between what is in fact a lie/smear and what is an essential factor SHOULD be much more important than most people are pretending it is, even to those who value un-controlled gun-ownership above ALL else.
