100. what a bloody sad day for all the children and their families

i think michael moore had it right, canadians hunt, they have guns. but, our media preaches FEAR and hate on the other to the extent that a paper boy is shot, a young man who goes to the wrong house is shot, because of FEAR and distrust. this fear and gun culture is being perpetuated. also, i think when reagan cut funds for mental illness, it also exacerbated the problem.

this isn't the wild west (the indians didn't think it was wild until the europeans came) and these gun nuts aren't wyatt earp nor wild bill. i'm not talking about rational gun ownership, i'm talking about those who think it's "bad ass" to wear a gun everywhere they go, not necessarily for safety but for intimidation.

apparently, this individual was mentally ill-on the news just now they stated he shot his mother before going to the school. such a terrible, terrible tragedy.
