29. Their greatest sin to me was ditching DL90

That was their nonstop from Düsseldorf to Atlanta. MAN do I miss that flight! It was the last regularly scheduled nonstop flight from here to the USA to disappear after Covid, and it was always full. I hate always having to change planes going to and from the USA, but it’s either that or taking the train down to Frankfurt and flying from there.

Otherwise, Delta is part of Sky Team with Air France and KLM, so even when I book flights to the USA on AF or KL, half the time, it’s on a Delta plane. The food is usually better on Air France, but apart from that, there is little difference. Within the USA, I try to fly Delta, but they don’t always fly the routes I need. If forced, we sometimes take United, Jet Blue or Alaska. The one airline we will never take again is American. If they were the only way back to Europe, I’d first consider a rowboat. The only difference is that the rowboat probably offers better customer service.
