the current "round ups" have ended up CAPTURING "legal" people - whether full citizens who had been here for generations, or naturalized citizens, or those on green cards, or those who are legal residents attempting to go through the full process. There have even been reports of them demanding ID from Native Americans who live on reservations.
THAT is the insidiousness of racism.
