(13,759 posts)And Im sure Ill take a punch to the nose on what Im about to say. The viewing television audience likes to see attractive and styled people; thats just a fact. Joy has had hair loss issues for years, and instead of playing this down, she was subjected to a multitude of ugly wigs, some appeared to be put on backward, and when that didnt work, they got out the big box of eye and lip crayons and went to town on her. And dont get me started on the clothes. Some days I screamed at the set,
Why are you letting them do this to you?
And of course when your eyes are distracted from the ears, the message gets lost.
I dont think it was done on purpose at first, but when her fiery personality refused to play the both-sides game, it was almost as if they were trying to make her unlikeable.
