I write Wiki bios for truly smart people. Right now I am working on one for a guy with an IQ of 184. He taught himself to read at age 2.

The accomplishments of some of these people is truly astonishing. They will often have 4 or 5 fields in which they are accomplished. Their bios can go on for pages and pages. I ask myself when they find time to sleep.

Another one has a list of publications, single-spaced, that is almost half an inch thick. Quite amazing when you realize one line can be a 2-inch thick book. We met in her office a couple times and it was a hellacious mess—but she knew exactly where every single item was. I saw her put out a 600-page book in 7 weeks. When I asked how she did that, she said the book wrote itself.

These people have associations with other super-smart, accomplished people in the U.S., and sometimes I have to read their bios, too, to get the connections straight. The point I am making is that we have an incredible number of these kinds of people. It is actually painful for me to see the sick, strange, stupid people trump has put in charge. Not only are they stupid, they are dysfunctional, too.

I think of this wealth of U.S. talent and wonder how this ever happened. The stupid (and morally deficient) do indeed run the land.
