What would "acting upon" and "doing something" look like. Because one would be reasonable to think that within their government roles there are certain legal limits to what they can do to either the president or his cabinet officials.

What's with this always making the perfect the enemy of the good. It does no good. It just casts shade on your own elected Democratic leaders who daily go above and beyond doing the jobs they were elected to do.
NY keeps him in Congress for a reason. The country would be a lot worse off if we didn't have consistently Democratic voting states like CA, OR, WA, IL, NY and most of the northeast coast states.
