But the full description of getting money from imports is called tariff taxes.

Even in the free trade agreements they call them taxes. I wonder where all those no tariffs taxes free trade agreements have gone? They had fines and penalties attached to taxing imports. I wonder why those agreements didn't hold up? They were good enough to send all our manufacturing jobs out of the US, but not good enough to stop tariff taxes. Weird.
