Truth is, they NEVER wanted to make the wealthy pay even one red cent more. They wanted to keep the Bewsh tax cutz for the wealthy permanent while gutting social programs and not touching the MIC, not touching corporate welfare and pinning the bill on the lower 98%. They keep forgetting this isn't the Bewsh '00s they live in and there are no more rubberstamps for their theft.
Hope the attempted heist was worth it.
