There is a strong Christian presence in Colorado Springs. Think of Focus on the Family, Young Life, Compassion International - the usual gang of suspects. Almost all of them are fundamentalist or leaning in that direction. The Evangelicals who live in Colorado Springs are some of Trump's biggest fans. They voted in this mayor because he is a staunch Christian - one of them despite the color of his skin. If anything, my hometown is becoming MORE red, not less.
