There are many analyses of how journalists used to include filler words for younger speakers and minority speakers in order to attack and deride them. But that shouldn't be the point of a story. This story is not about how Cox is a poor public speaker. It is about his claims relating to Robinson's cooperation. For that reason, deriding him through direct quotation of his repetitions is unprofessional.

Listen, I dislike the Governor of Utah as much as the next DUer, but this is horrible journalism. It's literally unacceptable in the middle school newspaper.
